Down in Tijuana, Mexico, many migrants are waiting at the border until their immigration application is called. This could mean months of waiting. The instability and insecurity about their status and future plans make it difficult to maintain work, find housing, and secure basic needs. Many families resort to shelters, and kids are often not in school during this time. This is where Yes We Can World Foundation stepped in. They created an amazing classroom out of an old bus to provide educational needs, coordinate volunteer services, and offer support to the families.
Second visit: the kids participated in holiday festivities and received Christmas gifts from visiting volunteers!
